What does this quote mean to you in your preparedness journey?

I think quotes like this really capture the essence of what it means to be prepared - not just having supplies, but having the right mindset.

“If you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail” always stuck with me, especially during a winter storm that knocked out our power—I was grateful for every jar I’d canned that summer!

That quote’s saved me plenty too—especially during blackout weeks when my little emergency pantry turned into a lifeline. Ever discovered something you forgot you’d prepped?

That garden analogy really hits home—especially the part about resilience being the fruit. I see prepping like tuning up my old sax: it’s not just having reeds or spare strings, it’s keeping skills sharp so when life’s out of rhythm, you’re still ready to play. OldTimerJohn, I think a lot of folks focus on the seed (the gear) but overlook the tending part—staying adaptable and learning from the little setbacks. Curious if anyone here has a “plant” that didn’t sprout the way they expected?
