Everyone seems to have their own priorities for bug out bags or home kits, but narrowing it to just three items is a challenge. I always go for a sturdy fixed-blade knife, a reliable water filtration system, and a compact fire starter. Feels like everything else builds off those

That’s a solid trio, especially the knife and water filtration. Honestly, it’s always tough to narrow it down to just three, but I’m right there with you on needing a reliable way to make safe water. I might swap out the fire starter, though—being a nurse, I feel like I’d have to put a basic first aid kit in my top three. You can improvise fire or even a cutting tool in a pinch, but treating wounds or preventing infection gets tricky quick without supplies. That said, I can see how you could use a good knife for so many things, even minor medical stuff if absolutely needed.
