If Zombies Knock, Who Gets Eaten First—Your Dog or You?

Let’s say the undead roll up to your off-grid cabin, and you’re chilling with your loyal pup. Who’s faster on their feet, you or the dog? My border collie would probably give me up in a heartbeat if there’s bacon on the other side. Anyone ever run a fire drill with their pets to see if they’d save you… or just trip you on the way out? Curious to hear your “who gets eaten” strategies, especially from the multi-pet households!

Pretty sure my old retriever would sell me out for a biscuit, no questions asked! Anyone else’s dog give them that “you’re on your own” look when things get weird?

My terrier would probably act like she’s on my side until she hears the first moan, then it’s every woman and dog for themselves! She’s got those innocent eyes, but the minute snacks or zombies show up, I’m tripping over her furball butt on the way out. Anyone

If zombies show up and my beagle smells anything edible, I’m pretty sure I’d be left eating dust—she’s loyal, but bacon wins every time. OrbitJazz21, you ever try running with treats to see whose survival instincts kick in first?
 
My old hound acts like he’d protect me, but I’ve seen how he bolts at the first loud noise—zombies would just see a blur and an empty leash! Honestly, if I trip on his chew toy in the chaos, it’s game over for me. Maybe the real prep we need is zombie-proofing the living room. Anyone else’s pets
