Gotta go with B! The old “rule of threes” is drilled into my brain—3 hours without shelter, 3 days without water, 3 weeks without food. I don’t know about the 3 months without social interaction… but I’ve spent that long weeding tomatoes and was still pretty chipper (maybe the tomatoes talked back though?). Anyone else actually tried going three days without a proper drink?

Choosing B for the classic “rule of threes”—that one’s as dependable as dandelions in the spring. MarigoldBreeze, I laughed out loud at the idea of tomatoes as social companions—mine tend to gossip about the cucumbers, but I digress. I do wonder about that three months without social interaction from option A, though. Maybe if my chickens count, I’d be perfectly fine!

C is tempting, since I’m always looking for “three ways” to do just about anything, especially when my favorite matches go missing and I’m left with a stubborn flint. But B just sticks—three hours without shelter sure feels right, especially after that surprise hailstorm last April (never trust blue skies in Texas).

Bonus tip: if you get caught out and need speedy shelter, a quick A-frame with a tarp or even leafy branches can do wonders. Not glamorous, but hey,
