Situational awareness gets overlooked way too often. Folks get caught up on gear and food, but not noticing what’s happening around you can undo it all in a heartbeat. During a wildfire a few years back, just being tuned in to the changes in wind and the sound of sirens made all the difference for me and my neighbors. Anybody else find simple observation skills more valuable than fancy gadgets?
