What’s the Most Overlooked Prep in Your Opinion?

So many folks focus on food and water storage, but I hardly ever see much talk about sanitation. Keeping clean becomes a real challenge when the water stops running, and disease spreads fast. Do you all keep backup sanitation setups or alternatives for toilets and waste? Curious what others have found works best for longer-term situations—not just a few days.

Sanitation’s huge and often forgotten. I’ve got a few 5-gallon buckets set aside with snap-on toilet seats, bags, and sawdust for layering—keeps things manageable and the smell down. Also storing soap, bleach, and a lot of old towels just in case. Simple stuff, but if you don’t plan for waste, everything else you prepped can go south real quick. Anyone tried those composting sawdust toilets for more than a few weeks at a time?
