Realistic Food Storage Plans for Small Apartments?

Anyone here have tips on storing long-term food in tight spaces without losing access or dealing with constant clutter? I’d like to maximize my pantry and maybe stash some canned goods elsewhere, but worried about pests and moisture too. What’s worked in your small apartments?
 
Under-the-bed bins and stackable plastic containers have saved me a ton of space in my apartment. I put rice, beans, and flour in airtight containers with bay leaves to keep bugs out. For moisture, adding a few silica gel packets helps (just don’t let them touch the food directly). Rotating cans behind books on a shelf has worked too, as long as you remember they’re there! Anyone else use closets for storage or is that just inviting trouble with humidity?
