Tragic Shooting Unleashes Panic Near CDC

The sudden loss of Officer David Rose, a committed member of DeKalb County's police force, has left a deep impact on everyone. His dedication and bravery will forever be remembered and honored.

It was a typical Friday afternoon at an intersection close to the CDC when an unexpected event turned the day into a nightmare. The assailant, identified as White, blamed his back pain on a COVID-19 vaccine administered by the CDC, which sparked a terrifying 90-minute ordeal.

A Deadly Encounter

Tragically, Officer Rose, a recent police academy graduate, was in the assailant's path and lost his life before he could intervene. Investigations later confirmed that the assailant died by suicide.

While a significant amount of ammunition was discharged during the incident, no other bystanders were injured. It has been revealed that the assailant had a documented history of mental health issues and had expressed suicidal thoughts in the past.

Following the incident, the assailant's father suspected his son's involvement and contacted emergency services multiple times. The assailant did not have any criminal record.

Family Cooperation and Evidence Found

Once investigators identified White as the assailant, they met with his family, who has been cooperative throughout the investigation. A search of White's residence yielded a written document expressing his dissatisfaction with the COVID-19 vaccines.

After the incident, special agents meticulously searched the CDC premises for any additional victims or evidence. They found that almost 200 shots had hit the agency's buildings but confirmed that all individuals, including children in the daycare, had been safely evacuated and reunited with their families.

No Increase in Threats, But Vigilance Remains High

Despite the isolated nature of the incident, there has not been a rise in threats to healthcare workers. However, officials continue to take any rhetoric that could incite violence very seriously.

In the aftermath, a photograph of White was released. Although officials were hesitant to publicize the assailant, they recognized the importance of releasing his image.

Remembering Officer Rose and Seeking Additional Information

Officer Rose, a 33-year-old father of two with a third child on the way, was a former U.S. Marine who previously worked as a jailer before joining the DeKalb department. His mother, who worked for many years at Emory University Hospital, recalls her son as fearless and committed to protecting people.

The public has been urged to remember the face of Officer Rose, especially in the following week. Funeral arrangements are currently being made. Tributes have been set up at police headquarters and near the shooting scene, and an online fundraiser for Officer Rose's family has already raised $380,000.

Anyone with more information regarding the incident or with photos or videos is urged to submit their tips by calling 1-800-597-TIPS(8477).
