Long-term water storage without adding bleach or chemical treatments—anyone here have solid experience with this? I know plenty of folks rely on water purification tabs or a bit of unscented bleach, but I'm looking for methods that avoid those entirely. I've heard about using food-grade barrels, rotating every 6–12 months, and

Glass jugs and ceramic crocks are my method for avoiding chemicals—just make sure they’re sterilized first. I fill them with filtered water and store in a dark, cool basement. Only downside is weight and space, but there’s zero plastic taste and no need for additives. Anyone else had success using natural spring water sources for storage, or is it too risky bacterially?
