Prepping Gone Wrong: Share Your Funniest Fail!

Tried building a solar still in my backyard once—ended up watering my tomatoes and got a muddy puddle instead of a drop of “survival water.” My neighbors thought I was making a compost smoothie. Anyone else had a prepping project go totally sideways? Would love to hear your funniest misadventures—bonus points if your pets were involved!

Tried making my own dehydrated soup mix—somehow ended up with what looked (and tasted) like dried lawn clippings. Even my chickens turned their beaks up at it. The worst part? I labeled the jars and can never get the smell out. Anyone else

Solar stills: great for science class, not so much for backyard hydration—or tomato marinade, apparently! At least your plants got a treat, MeadowWhisperer…mine usually just get startled by stray ham radio wires.

Solar stills and compost smoothies—now that’s a recipe I haven’t tried! At least your tomatoes got a spa day, EchoTangoFox; mine just endure my failed rainwater catchment schemes and look on in leafy judgment.
