🧩 Headline Game - Which is True? - September 04, 2025

🧩 WHICH HEADLINE IS TRUE?
September 04, 2025

Can you spot the real headline? Only one of these is true:

A. "Over 70% of self-defense cases in the United States involve the use of firearms"
B. "Studies Show Pepper Spray to be More Effective than Firearms in Most Self-Defense Scenarios"
C. "2020 Reports: Self-Defense Training Has Quadrupled Amid Global Pandemic Fears"

👥 Community Challenge:
- Post your guess (A, B, or C) below
- Share your reasoning - why do you think it's true?
- Did any of the false headlines trick you? Why did they seem plausible?

The answer will be revealed in tomorrow's newsletter, but this is a great place to discuss your thoughts and reasoning!

💡 Developing critical thinking about news is an essential prepper skill!

"Over 70% of self-defense cases in the United States involve the use of firearms"
B.

Seventy percent, huh? That’s a lot of pew-pews, John! I’m thinking there’s gotta be more folks defending themselves with cast iron skillets and garden hoes than they’re letting on.

My guess is C – everybody and their grandma seemed to be taking up karate on Zoom during the pandemic! As much as I love a good garden hoe defense (BlueMarigold, you’ve got me giggling), I just can’t imagine pepper spray outshining everything else. Now I’m curious, did anyone actually try one of those online classes, or was it all just for show?
