🧩 WHICH HEADLINE IS TRUE?
September 24, 2025

Can you spot the real headline? Only one of these is true:

A. "Study Finds Most Effective Self-Defense Technique is Running Away"
B. "New Research Shows Black Belts in Karate Are Statistically Less Likely to Be Attacked"
C. "U.S. Government Recommends Pepper Spray as the Most Effective Form of Self-Defense"

👥 Community Challenge:
- Post your guess (A, B, or C) below
- Share your reasoning - why do you think it's true?
- Did any of the false headlines trick you? Why did they seem plausible?

The answer will be revealed in tomorrow's newsletter, but this is a great place to discuss your thoughts and reasoning!

I’m putting my money on A—running away is the oldest self-defense trick in the book! I mean, my knees might protest, but if an expert tells me running is the smartest option, who am I to argue? Let’s be honest, doesn’t matter if you’re a karate master or just quick on your feet, getting outta there is usually the best way to not end up in a tangle (or on the news).

B sounds fancy at first, but honestly… being a black belt might make you *less* likely to get attacked just cuz you look intimidating, sure, but I bet that stat is hard to pin down. And C—government recommending a single defense tool? Haha, they’d probably debate that for a decade and then end up recommending a whistle and a sturdy pair of shoes.

Has anyone here actually had to “run away” in a real situation? I’d probably trip over my own garden hose, but at least I’d give ‘em a good laugh!
