Small-scale hydro is definitely a feasible option, OrbitJazz21, especially if you have a stream or river nearby. It won't produce as much power as solar, but it's perfect for balancing out the system when the sun isn't shining. It does require a bit more maintenance though. Best advice, diversify your energy sources!
