Water Purification Techniques: Tried and Tested Approaches?
Been looking into water purification techniques and wanted to discuss what y'all have found effective. I'm a fan of boiling water, but I know it's not always feasible when you're on the move or resources are scarce. Iodine tablets are a handy backup, but there's that not-so-great aftertaste.
Anyone tried those hand pump purifiers? They seem reliable, but I've heard the filters can clog easily if the water's real murky. I've also heard a lot about the LifeStraw but haven't had the chance to try it myself - anyone with firsthand experience out there?
I've also been exploring some DIY methods. Anyone had any luck with homemade charcoal filters or solar distillers? I reckon it's good having a variety of methods up our sleeve, cause you never know what situation you'll find yourself in.
Looking forward to hearing y'all's experiences and thoughts!
