I’ve seen people with closets full of canned beans but nothing for handling trash, no plan for dealing with dirty clothes, or no extra bottles of bleach. It doesn’t take long for things to get nasty without a way to keep clean, and illness spreads fast. One thing I don’t see mentioned much is having enough clean water

Totally, TeaTimeTalisman—stuff like soap and trash bags always runs out faster than you expect. I’d add to that: folks overlook floss big time, and dental issues become a real pain if you can’t take care of them.

Just one toothache makes everything miserable fast, so I stash extra toothpaste, floss, and even some clove oil for emergencies.
