What’s Your Go-To Method for Water Purification?

When it comes to water purification, I usually stick with my Berkey but keep iodine tabs and a Sawyer Mini as backup. Curious what you all rely on if you have to process lots of water quickly, especially in a grid-down situation—gravity filter, distillation, or something else?

For large batches, I lean on a gravity-fed ceramic filter setup paired with a basic solar still if I’ve got the time and sunshine. Distillation is great but uses a lot of energy—hard to keep up if the power’s out. Berkey’s good for daily use but starts to feel slow when you need gallons and gallons. Anyone ever tried building a multi-bucket bio-sand filter? Wondering if it’s worth the hassle for emergencies.

Tried the bio-sand setup once—pretty effective but it’s slow and bulky, not ideal if you’re in a hurry or low on space. Do you find solar stills worth the wait?
