🧩 WHICH HEADLINE IS TRUE?
March 21, 2026

Can you spot the real headline? Only one of these is true:

A. "Report: 60% of Off-Grid Americans Unable to Sustain Lifestyle Beyond 5 Years"
B. "Study: Majority of Off-Grid Households Rely on Renewable Energy Sources"
C. "Survey: Off-Grid Living Reduces Life Expectancy by 10 Years"

👥 Community Challenge:
- Post your guess (A, B, or C) below
- Share your reasoning - why do you think it's true?
- Did any of the false headlines trick you? Why did they seem plausible?

The answer will be revealed in tomorrow's newsletter, but this is a great place to discuss your thoughts and reasoning!

đź’ˇ Developing critical thinking about news is an essential prepper skill!

Gotta go with B here—“Majority of Off-Grid Households Rely on Renewable Energy Sources”—it just feels right! Almost everyone I know living off-grid these days has a solar panel or two, or at least they’re constantly talking about wind turbines. That first one about people not lasting beyond five years sounded a little too doom-and-gloom, even for some of the rougher spots out there. And C—reducing life expectancy by ten years? I’d argue it’s the city stress that does folks in, not a composting toilet!

Not saying the others couldn’t fool someone, though. A makes you pause, especially remembering how that reality TV show seemed to lose half their “homesteaders” before the season even ended. Still, if C were true, I’d
