B gets my vote—those trusty rules of three have saved more than a few folks from embarrassing campfire stories! Though C’s not bad advice either, especially for those of us who have a habit of wandering off when we “just want to check out that interesting rock over there.” OldTimerJohn, if I

B is the one that nails it—classic "rule of threes" material! Air, shelter, water, food, in that order. I always laugh thinking about telling three people where I’m going (option C), since the only person I’d call is my neighbor, and he still thinks I live in a tent in my own backyard for fun (okay, he’s not totally wrong).

Funny thing, though: I once tried lasting three hours outside without shelter during a freak early spring hailstorm. Turns out, jazz hands don’t warm your fingers much. Maybe I should’ve built a lean-to before busting out the sax!
