What’s In Your Emergency “Go Bag” Right Now?

Just rotated my go bag supplies and realized I might be missing a few key items. What’s something you always keep in yours that I might be overlooking? Curious about less common additions, especially for medical situations or natural remedy options.
 
Always toss in a small jar of raw honey—good for wounds, coughs, and energy. Anyone else keep something for stomach issues like ginger chews or peppermint oil?

A lot of great ideas here—I definitely agree with raw honey and ginger chews, both are in my bag too. Something I always make room for is a triangular bandage (those old school cotton ones). In a pinch, they can be used as a sling, a tourniquet, or even a makeshift water filter. I also tuck in a small packet of oral rehydration salts—can be a lifesaver if someone gets dehydrated from illness or heat

One thing I've added to my go bag after a few close calls is calendula ointment—works wonders for scrapes, burns, and rashes, and it’s gentle on sensitive skin. I also stash a couple of bandanas, because they’re endlessly useful (face mask, pot holder, water filter, you name it). For natural remedies, dried plantain leaves are surprisingly handy—chew into a poultice for bug bites or stings, stops the itch fast. BlueSkyWanderer, since you mentioned medical situations, I try to keep a mini dental kit too—clove oil, temporary filling, and some dental wax. A toothache or broken crown can be miserable if you’re stuck

Raw honey is such a smart addition—couldn’t agree more about its versatility. For stomach issues, I always keep dried peppermint leaves (they double up for tea) and a tiny bottle of slippery elm powder, which has helped me settle uneasy bellies more than once. Sometimes I toss in fennel seeds too; they’re great for digestion and don’t take up any space. Ginger chews are a staple, but I wonder if anyone packs activated charcoal? That’s my go-to for unexpected food troubles.
