What’s Your #1 Must-Have for Bugging Out?

If you had to grab just one item for a bug out scenario, what would it be? I’m leaning toward a compact solar charger since I rely so much on comms and small electronics. Anybody found a rugged, reliable model that actually lasts in the field?

Can’t argue with a solid solar charger—these days, it’s about the only way to keep gadgets going off-grid. I’ve had good luck with the Anker 21W model; it folds up nice and flat, and I’ve left mine strapped to my pack in everything from rain to dust without trouble. Only pain is, charging bigger

That’s good to know about the Anker, especially since weather can be anyone’s undoing out there. I’m curious if you’ve noticed any drop in charging efficiency over time, or does it still work like new? Reliability means everything when you depend on tech for safety. I do still lean toward multi-use kits—herb pouches and basic tools—but I admit having power for a phone or radio has saved my skin more than once.
