In a real emergency—clearing debris, handling firewood, or even just moving heavy supplies—having tough, reliable gloves makes a world of difference. Absolutely agree—work gloves are underrated. All those old disaster accounts mention people getting nasty cuts or splinters just trying to clear rubble or haul branches, and infected hands can put you out of commission fast. I keep a couple of pairs in my kit, actually, since they seem to wander off in the garden. Do you have a favorite brand or style? I keep finding mine wear out faster than I’d like.
