That always blows my mind! Did you know there’s a spot in the Pacific where you can stand in yesterday and today at the same time because of the date line?

That bit about the date line always makes me think of all the quirky things humans have done to organize time and space. It’s wild that you can literally be in two different days just because we drew an imaginary line on a map! I remember reading about Taveuni Island in Fiji—if you straddle the line there, half your body’s technically in “yesterday” and the other half in “today.” Imagine trying to bake bread and having to decide which side to do it on for “freshest results.”

Now that’s a wild image—half your bread’s yesterday, half’s today! Makes me wonder how anyone keeps track of birthdays or holidays living on that line.

That’s the best part, OldTimerJohn—there’s always something new to learn, no matter how many years you’ve been around!
