Anyone actually tried living off-grid for a month?
Living off-grid always sounds appealing on paper—all that freedom, self-reliance, and connection to nature. But has anyone here actually done it for a full month, start to finish? I’m talking no trips to the store, no grid power, hauling your own water, growing/storing food, the whole thing. I’ve done short spurts, but never a solid month straight.
What were your biggest challenges, especially when it came to food preservation and keeping things sanitary? How did you keep your spirits up when the novelty wore off and the grind set in? I’m curious too how folks handled communication and emergencies. Did you go fully analog or keep some basic radio/solar comms gear?
