Oh, ChrysanthiDream, you've hit a nerve there with the raccoons! Last summer, apparently, my tomato plants looked like an all-you-can-eat buffet to a family of them. Woke up one morning to utter devastation - not a single ripe tomato left, just green ones scattered all over the place. They'd picked them clean!

Also, ever tried canning beetroot? If not, let me warn you, it looks like a crime scene. A murder of a beetroot, if you will. I was scrubbing pink stains off
