Space Travelers Share Their Unique Experience Seeing Moon's Hidden Side

The crew of the recent lunar mission, who were in space for ten days, have shared their remarkable journey that took them farther into space than any human being before. The adventurers, Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen, embarked on their journey and safely returned to Earth in just under a week and a half, marking a perfect conclusion to their expedition.

A Journey Beyond the Known

As a significant part of their mission, the team traversed around the lesser-known side of the Moon, often referred to as the 'dark side'. This name, however, is a misnomer as it's not really dark. In fact, it receives more sunlight than the side we usually see from the Earth. But due to a phenomenon known as tidal locking, we always see the same side of the Moon from our planet, hiding the other side from our view.

The Revelation Moment

During a recent TV appearance, the astronauts shared their experiences and the unique moment they realized they had journeyed further into space than anyone before. Jeremy Hansen described the moment saying, "We saw the Moon in a way we hadn't expected. We could see parts of the far side from a distance, and we were all mesmerized, watching from the windows."

The Most Challenging Moment

Their journey was not without its nerve-wracking moments. Christina Koch shared that the most anxious moment was not the launch, but the re-entry. She said, "Returning to Earth is a serious affair... during re-entry, you transform into a ball of plasma, and you can see fire outside every single window."

Sharing the Experience

Victor Glover also reflected on the mission's significance and the importance of sharing their experiences with the world. "We all feel a strong desire to share with everyone how this mission was accomplished. It wasn't just us as a crew, but it was a collective effort by many nations and humans.", Glover said.

Glover further shared that during the mission, the crew took some time to admire the beauty of our planet, intensifying their appreciation for Earth.

Life Lessons from the Lunar Mission

Jeremy Hansen, on the other hand, shared how the journey to the Moon deepened his faith in humanity. "Although we don't always do great things or act with integrity, our inherent nature is to be good and kind to each other," he said. He added that what he saw during the mission filled him with joy and hope for the future.
