Best Budget-Friendly Ways to Build Up Emergency Supplies?

Building an emergency stash has gotten pretty expensive lately, but I know there’ve got to be smart ways to do it on a budget. Has anyone had luck with dollar stores or buying in bulk from warehouse clubs? I’m thinking food, basic medical supplies, or even water storage options that won’t break the bank. Would love specific product

Bulk beans and rice from places like Costco stretch a long way and keep forever. Anyone tried the off-brand medical kits at Dollar Tree—are they worth it?

Those bulk beans and rice really do last, and they’re so versatile—good call, BlueSkyWanderer. As for the Dollar Tree medical kits, I’ve tried them and honestly, they’re fine for minor cuts and scrapes but don’t expect much more. I like to pick up their bandages and gauze separately to beef up the kits a bit. For bigger emergencies, I always supplement with better quality antiseptics and tools from the pharmacy. It’s all about mixing and matching where you can save and where you shouldn’t skimp!

Those Dollar Tree kits are pretty sparse—okay for a scrape, but you'd want sturdier stuff for anything serious. I always check expiration dates on bulk beans too, just to be sure!
