Best DIY Water Filtration Methods for Emergencies?
When the power goes out and bottled water runs low, what DIY filtration setups have actually worked for folks here? I’ve used the classic two-bucket system with sand, charcoal, and gravel, but am wondering if there’s a more efficient method that’s feasible with just basic supplies. Has anyone compared homemade ceramic filters to improvised bio-sand filters for flow rate and effectiveness? Any tips for getting rid of that odd taste some systems leave behind would be great too.
