Clove Hitch is a sturdy choice, ChamomileCraze, and a Taut-Line Hitch never lets down when it comes to tent tension. Personally, I regularly default to the Bowline for most of my needs - easy to tie, untie, and incredibly strong. When it comes to plants though, the Constrictor Knot is choice.
