Best Skills to Learn for Real-World Emergencies?

When it comes to real-world emergencies, what skills do you all consider top priority to master—beyond the basic food/water stuff? I’ve got some first aid down, and I’m working on off-grid power (solar arrays mostly), but I’m always wondering where to focus next. For example, how important is it to learn stuff like small engine repair or advanced comms (HAM radio, mesh networks, etc.)? I figure mechanical knowhow is huge, but how much time should I be putting into something like wild edibles or basic carpentry versus, say, defensive tactics?
