Best Ways to Store Water Long-Term Without Chemicals
Storing water long-term without relying on chemicals has been on my mind lately. I’m not a fan of chlorine or other additives if I can avoid them, especially for drinking. I’ve been rotating water every 6 months in BPA-free containers, keeping them in a cool, dark basement, and using only thoroughly sanitized bottles, but it still feels like there’s more I could be doing. I’ve heard about using glass jugs or stainless steel, but are there pros or cons I should consider? Anyone here had luck with storing rainwater safely for more than a year, or does it always need to be filtered again before use?
Also, is boiling alone (before storage, then sealing) actually effective for long-term purity, or am I missing something? I’d appreciate any input on methods folks have actually tried, especially anything natural that really works over the long haul. Looking for practical advice,
