Best Ways to Store Water Long Term?
For long-term water storage, I know the basics about using food-grade barrels and rotating the water every 6 months or so, but I’m wondering what methods folks here have found most reliable for truly long-term storage (past a year or more). Some people suggest adding unscented bleach or water purification tabs, but I keep reading conflicting advice on dosages and safety.
I’m also interested in container types—are the heavy blue water barrels really worth the investment compared to repurposed containers, or does it just come down to storage conditions and cleanliness? Anyone have experience with water bricks or stacking smaller containers for easier rotation? And has anyone tried storing well water vs. tap, or does it all
