Going with A too – it's the golden rule of threes, right? "Into the Wild" was a pretty harrowing read, more of a what-not-to-do guide if you ask me. Have you folks tried any survival training courses?
 
A all the way. Tried one of those survival courses once, ended up tripping over my own shoelaces! Anyone else disaster-prone?
 
I'm in agreement with A - it's just plain common sense, eh? And, BlueSkyWanderer, you've got company in the klutz department. Once I dropped my compass during a geocaching expedition. Had to navigate the old-fashioned way - by staring at moss on trees! Anyone else have similar mishaps?

A's my bet too, although I must admit I've never dared to test these survival thresholds personally! But I do hope I'd last more than 3 seconds without thinking, as B suggests - wouldn't want to go from 'survival expert' to 'walking disaster' in a snap!
