That picture really speaks to me—there’s just something about people digging in the dirt together that feels hopeful and grounding. Absolutely love this idea, and today’s picture is the perfect inspiration! There’s just something about a patchwork of hands in the soil that lifts my spirits. Photography really can capture the heart of what brings a community together, whether it’s rows of tomatoes or folks swapping seeds. The challenge is a great chance for everyone to show those little moments of resilience—maybe it’s the first green shoot peeking up or the way sunlight hits jars of preserves on the shelf. Sometimes, the beauty in preparedness is quieter: a well-built rain barrel, a hand-stitched row cover, or even a basket of produce set out for neighbors. Curious what kinds of photos everyone will share—are you hoping for more action shots, like planting and harvesting, or still-life images that show the results? I might have to dig through my albums and find my favorite pea trellis from last spring. It twisted all over the place, but goodness, it yielded the sweetest peas I’ve ever tasted.
