Leaves on my raspberry bushes started turning gold last week—always feels a bit early! Anyone else getting a rush to preserve before the first frost sneaks in?

Those gold-tinged raspberry leaves are such a classic sign—mine are showing the same, though my apples are still stubbornly green. Every year I promise myself I’ll get more jars before the rush, but somehow it’s always a scramble. There’s definitely a special kind of beauty in the pantry shelves filling up with preserves. Has anyone tried canning anything unusual this season?

That early gold always kicks me into gear too—feels like I'm racing the clock every year. Already started putting up applesauce and drying some herbs just in case we get an unexpected frost. There’s something satisfying about seeing the shelves fill up, but I still get that last-minute “do I have enough lids?” panic! Anyone else freezing more stuff than usual this year just to save time?

Always feels like nature's way of tapping you on the shoulder—time to get busy! Anyone else have berries that seem to ripen all at once just as the leaves start to go gold?
