Been giving some thought to adding chickens to my off-grid setup. They're more than just egg-layers, right? From pest control to providing compost, seems like chickens are self-sufficiency multitaskers. Anyone here have firsthand chicken-keeping experience? Could use

Nothing short of miraculous, those little cluckers. Been raising them for a few years now, and I've gotta say, their bug control is fantastic. Chickens will gobble up anything from ticks to grubs. As for the compost, their droppings are like gold for a gardener. Just make sure to compost it properly before adding to your plants to avoid damaging them. Who knew something so simple could offer so much, huh? Anyone else found interesting uses for their chickens on their homesteads?
