Leatherman Wave+ is indeed a solid choice, BlueHarborTea, but don't overlook smaller, more compact options, like the Leatherman Squirt PS4. It might not have the same amount of tools, but its size makes it incredibly portable and handy. Often, survival's about mobility and being able to carry what you need without being weighed down.

Definitely agree on the weight factor, BlueSkyWanderer. Compactness can be a major plus in survival situations. From personal experience, I'd recommend Swiss Army knives too. They might seem old-fashioned, but are quite a marvel with all those tiny useful tools! Has anyone tried any of the Victorinox models?
