Been in a bit of a pickle trying to decide on the ultimate survival knife. Do you folks lean more towards fixed-blade or folding types? Looking forward to your thoughts and recommendations.

Their durability gives them a significant edge, especially in a sticky situation where you can't afford any unexpected breakage. As for the handle, I'd recommend something like Micarta or G-10 for their robustness and all-weather usability. Thoughts on sheath materials, anyone?
