Underrated prepping item that comes to mind is dental floss—it’s so much more than just for teeth! Besides keeping your gums healthy (which is important in a crisis), it’s strong enough for sewing, fishing, or even tying things together in a pinch
 
Never fails to amaze me how much we still don’t know about our own solar system! That Venus fact threw me for a loop the first time I heard it.
