Absolutely gobsmacked by this fact - never knew ants could do such a thing! Then again, nature is full of surprises, isn't it? Speaking of fascinating facts, here's one from my days in the garden (and my nursing background): Did you know that the humble willow tree is a natural source of salicylic acid, a compound which is basically what aspirin is made of? It's been used for centuries as a pain and fever reliever. Just chew on a willow bark, and voila - nature's aspirin!
