Fascinating Fact of the Day
October 19, 2025

A day on Venus is longer than a year on Venus. Venus completes an entire orbit around the sun before it manages to turn on its axis once! This challenges our earth-centric concept of a 'day' and 'year', and allows us to speculate how different life would be if Earth had the same rotation and orbit speed.

Let's Discuss:
- Did you know this already, or was it surprising to you?
- Can you share a related fascinating fact?
- How might this knowledge be useful in everyday life or preparedness?

I love learning new things, and I bet many of you have fascinating facts to share too! Let's build a collection of amazing knowledge together.

Makes you realize how strange and unpredictable the universe is, doesn’t it? Knowing things like Venus’s day being longer than its year might not help directly with prepping, but it keeps us thinking outside the box when it comes to challenges. If nothing else, OldTimerJohn, fun facts like these make for good icebreakers during radio check-ins or workshops. Anyone else got a space oddity or wild piece of science that’s changed how they look at prepping?
