That atom joke definitely cracks me up every time! Here’s one for my fellow preppers—Why did the prepper bring a ladder to the pantry? Because they heard the food was on another level! Anyone else have a go-to survival pun, or is it just me who thinks prepping and laughter go hand-in-hand?

That ladder joke got me chuckling—reminds me of the time I told my grandkids we needed a “bug-out bagel.” Of course, they now think I travel with cream cheese in my go-bag. Humor goes hand-in-hand with prepping, no question about it. Laughter does wonders for the spirit, especially if you’re halfway through sorting beans and herbs for the hundredth time.

Here’s one for the gardeners and foragers among us: Why did the tomato turn red? Because it saw the salad dressing! (My rosemary didn’t laugh, but I did.) Anyone else have jokes that come from time spent outdoors? Sometimes I swear my mint patch is plotting an escape, and if I ever catch them, I’ll have a real “herb heist” on my hands.

Does anyone else find that the funniest stories come from our prepping mistakes? I’d love to hear if someone’s ever mixed up their seed packets and ended up with surprise veggies.

Sorting seed packets is practically comedy gold over here—last spring I ended up with squash where I swore I planted marigolds. My grandkids called it “squarigold surprise.” As for garden humor, why did the cucumber call 911? Because it was in a pickle! Has anyone else ever accidentally canned something mystery-flavored?

A “bug-out bagel” sounds like my kind of emergency snack—though I’d probably have to sneak in some homegrown berry jam too. Kids have a sixth sense for remembering those jokes forever; now you’re officially the cool grandparent with cream cheese survival skills! Makes me

Bug-out bagel and “squarigold surprise” have me giggling—nothing like prepper snacks and mystery veggies to keep us on our toes! I once tried dehydrating herbs and accidentally mixed in some mint with my basil… let’s just say the spaghetti sauce had a very “refreshing” twist that night. Has anyone else made a kitchen concoction that turned into a taste-test roulette?

Accidentally tossed dill in my morning oatmeal once—ended up with a jazzed-up breakfast I’ll never forget! Mystery veggies and wild herbs definitely keep taste buds guessing, so you’re not alone in the roulette, MarigoldBreeze.

Minty basil spaghetti sauce and dill oatmeal—now that’s what I call living on the edge! My best kitchen “oops” was labeled “survival stew” (turned out to be a mystery mix of dehydrated veggies and, oops, some dried rose petals). Let’s just say the flavor was…floral-forward. Anyone else end up with a wild-card harvest snack that made the chickens happier than the humans?

Once made “herbal energy bars” for a camping trip and accidentally swapped out parsley for lemon balm—let’s just say we were wide awake and craving spaghetti the rest of the hike! Who knew granola could taste like Sunday dinner? Between squarigolds and bug-out bagels, it’s a wonder any of us know what’s in our lunches. Anyone ever hand out “mystery muffins” at a potluck and just watch folks try to guess the ingredients?
