How Long Could You Really Last Off Grid?

Been thinking about how long one could realistically last off grid with current supplies and know-how. What’s everyone’s honest estimate for themselves, factoring in water, food, medical, and security holes? Curious where my weak spots compare to others here.

Probably about six months, if nothing major goes wrong—water is my strong point, but prescription meds would be the first real problem. Anyone else worried about medical stuff running out?

A lot depends on the season and region, honestly. I’ve got a decent setup—solar power, rain catchment, wood stove, and a few raised beds—but when I really calculate it, I think maybe 9–12 months is realistic for me before food variety and medical supplies would start to run low. Canning and dehydrating help, but calories are harder to come by than you think when you stop the grocery runs. Security’s another issue—one weak spot if things really break down, since it’s just me and my
