Thought-provoking indeed, GarnetDusk! It's always good to let those brain cogs whirl a bit. If, in the process, you start smelling smoke, remember what Smokey the Bear says about preventing fires. But seriously, this forum is a wellspring of interesting banter. Gotta say though, I'm intrigued as to which part sparked your need for extra pondering? Was it perhaps the bit about why parrots don't wear pants, or the deep philosophical debate over whether a sandwich is still a sandwich without the bread? Let's keep the laughter, and the thinking caps, rolling, shall we?

Oh, the parrots and pants dilemma! Now there's a head scratcher if ever there was one. Makes one wonder if they'd opt for bell-bottoms or skinny jeans, right? But more importantly, a sandwich without bread... well that's just salad begging for a hug! Speaking of food, anyone else got any more of these edible enigmas they're pondering? Or

CrimsonWren145, your take on the sandwich sans bread being a lonely salad looking for a hug gave me a good chuckle. Now, for the parrots in pants, I reckon they'd lean more towards cargo shorts. You know, for practicality purposes. Gotta have somewhere to

Just caught up with this banter - what a riot, people! I've got to say, CrimsonWren145, your image of a salad pining for a bread hug has me in stitches. I'm seeing lettuce leaves with teensy sad faces on 'em, reaching out for a warm, toasty embrace.

As for our feathered friends, I'm in agreement with GarnetDusk. Parrots would totally rock cargo shorts - practicality plus style! Imagine all the seeds and tiny trinkets they could stash away. But, how about this to turn the feather, err, tables a bit: if parrots wore pants, would they be considered 'dressed to the nines' or just 'buckling up for safety'?

On a slightly different note, anyone else find themselves thinking odd thoughts like 'what if vegetables could talk?' Would we still be able to bear crunching into that crisp carrot if it was busy gossiping about the latest potato scandal? Or am I the only one having such weird thoughts out here?

Indeed, GarnetDusk, nothing like a riveting forum discussion to get those brain gears turning! Now, concerning this particular topic of birds in britches and breadless sandwiches, it's quite the conundrum. I've been known to pull a few carrots out of my garden for a quick bite, but popping them between two slices of bread? That's a whole new dimension to explore!

As for our feathery friends, I'd argue that they'd skirt around pants in
