Japanese snack enthusiasts might need to look a bit harder to find their favorite chips on the grocery store shelves. One popular chip company has announced that its normally colorful packages will temporarily be printed in black and white, and it's not due to a printing error.

However, an official from the Japanese government assured that no immediate concerns about the supplies of printing ink or naphtha - a petroleum byproduct used in ink production - have been reported. They also added that the required volume for the nation's needs is being secured.
