Multiple Illnesses Linked to Suspicious Las Vegas Residence

A curious case has emerged from Las Vegas, where several individuals fell sick after spending time within a home suspected of harboring an illicit bio lab. This information comes from a former cleaner of the property, who disclosed it to law enforcement.

Tip-off Leads to Arrest

The cleaner, who chose to remain anonymous and is referred to as 'Kelly' for the purpose of this report, alerted authorities about the apparent operation earlier. This led to a police raid over a weekend and the arrest of the property manager, known as Ori Solomon. Solomon, who is also known by another name, Ori Salomon, now faces an array of charges at both the federal and state levels. These include unlawful disposal of hazardous waste and firearm possession, which is a violation of his visa.

Unsettling Discoveries

Kelly revealed that while working at the house in question, she gained access to the usually locked garage. Inside, she discovered several refrigerators, glass beakers filled with a reddish fluid, a safety cabinet for handling biological materials, and what she identified as a centrifuge. The garage, she claimed, had a particularly unpleasant and stale odor.

Furthermore, she stated that she and Solomon's handyman fell seriously ill after entering the garage. Their symptoms, which included breathing issues, fatigue, and muscle aches, appeared around five days after the exposure. Interestingly, Solomon's wife also fell ill after visiting the garage. Additionally, Kelly pointed out that several other residents of the house had also fallen sick, with one woman even being hospitalized due to severe respiratory issues.

Disturbing Patterns

Kelly’s accounts also included the unusual discovery of numerous dead crickets in the master bedroom, a phenomenon she found strange given her long residence in Las Vegas. She also stated that the refrigerators she observed in the garage were standard household units, not specialized medical-grade equipment.

Investigation and Analysis

Following the tip-off, law enforcement officials and FBI agents spent a weekend removing materials and equipment from the garage for further investigation. These were then shipped to a secure lab on the East Coast for testing. The results are still pending. Authorities believe the property was being used to store equipment for a bio lab, and possibly even biological substances and viruses.

Link to Previous Case

Interestingly, the description of the refrigerators used in the garage matches a similar case in Reedley, California, where an illegal bio lab was discovered in a warehouse. The lab reportedly contained unauthorized biological agents, including potential infectious diseases, along with unlicensed medical devices and test kits. The person running that lab, a national from China, was arrested and is currently awaiting trial in federal custody.

Alleged Connections

Reports suggest that Solomon had direct connections with the operator of the Reedley bio lab, with whom he had been in regular communication. Despite the operator being incarcerated, it is said that Solomon had over 460 calls with him in the past year. Solomon is believed to have been handling the business dealings for the operator, transferring funds to the operator's wife and business partner, who currently remains elusive in China.

Risks and Dangers

Authorities also found four bottles of hydrochloric acid in the garage, stored in a haphazard manner. Exposure to this chemical can cause severe and permanent injuries to humans. The improper storage and disposal of such chemicals pose a serious threat to anyone in or near the garage. The fact that this residence was also being used as a short-term rental property, with multiple occupants including an elderly man living nearby, adds to the concern.

Current Status

Three individuals who were renting rooms in the house at the time of the investigation were safely evacuated and are not implicated in the ongoing investigation.

Absolutely alarming how easy it is for something this dangerous to happen right in a regular neighborhood. If folks were getting that sick just by entering the garage, who knows what all was being handled in there. The dead crickets in the bedroom are especially unsettling—never heard of that being a symptom of chemical exposure, but maybe something else was at play? Makes you wonder how many more of these setups are out there and not yet discovered.
