Wool blanket layered with this bag really does the trick on cold nights. I’ve found it’s a balance between extra warmth and not getting too bundled up—sometimes I wake up a little sweaty if I overdo it. Stuffing everything back in the carry sack afterward is always a bit of a wrestling match

Haven’t tried this exact brand, but if the zippers hold up and it keeps you warm close to that 50°F range, sounds like a solid backup bag for the price. Always curious about long-term wear, though.
