StarlitAtlas, I've also got one of these MalloMe sleeping bags tucked away in my prepping stash. I must say, I agree with GarnetDusk, they really are quite resilient. The zippers have held up well so far, much to my relief. The compact, lightweight design is a huge plus, it hardly takes up any space, perfect for the pack-lite ethos I follow in my gardening and prepping alike. Zipper quality is honestly the make-or-break for a lot of sleeping bags, so I get where you're coming from. I actually bought two MalloMe bags for my radio field days last spring—lots of packing, unpacking, and late-night zipping in less than ideal conditions. The zippers are smoother than most bargain bags I’ve tried, and they haven’t jammed or split yet, even when I wasn’t exactly gentle. That said, they feel lightweight compared to something like a Coleman, so if you’re expecting super rugged metal zippers, these probably aren’t it. Haven’t seen any sign of the stitching coming loose around the zipper either, which is a good sign.

If you’re using it for regular weekend hikes and emergencies, I think it’ll hold up. But if you’re planning on really rough use, like repeated backcountry trips with kids climbing in and out, you might want to be careful.
