Maximizing Garden Yields for Long-Term Survival: Tips Needed!

Been trying to maximize garden yields for long-term sustainability. Tried crop rotation, companion planting, but still feel there's room for improvement. Anybody got tips on other efficient methods to boost production?

If you're not already, start using mulch to conserve water and suppress weeds. It'll enrich the soil as it decomposes, boosting your garden's productivity. My go-to has always been straw, but you can use leaves, grass clippings, or wood chips too. Have you been practicing succession planting? Your harvest window can be extended this way.

A big fan of intercropping here. It maximizes space and some crops even deter pests for others. Have you tried it?

All excellent suggestions. I'd also recommend considering the addition of a compost heap for nutrient-rich soil. Kitchen scraps, yard waste, coffee grounds - it all adds up to beautiful compost that will truly give your plants a boost. Every gardener knows healthy soil equals a booming harvest. And how about your watering routine, CrimsonWren145? Over or under watering can seriously impact yield.
