Who's Invited?
All living presidents are expected to be present at this grand event, with one notable exception - the immediate former president. An insider from the organization, who served as an aide during the former president's tenure, stated during a press preview in early June that the former president is welcome to visit the center and even offered to give him a personal tour. However, he didn't receive an invitation to the dedication ceremony.
"This event is a celebration for those who played a significant role in the former president's journey and is intended to be a gift to them," the insider stated. "The attendees are individuals who've been supportive and instrumental along the way."

The center, which spans a whopping 19-acre area on the south side of a prominent city in Illinois, refers to itself as a campus. It boasts a towering museum that the curators hope will inspire change and instill hope. Visitors are invited to take an intimate look at life inside the former president's tenure.
Besides the museum, the campus also houses a branch of the city's Public Library. It includes an NBA regulation-size basketball court and a Women's Garden, a tribute to the city's female leaders. The campus is also equipped with an auditorium, a media suite available for visitor use, a Wetland Walk, as well as a fruit and vegetable garden, and a children's playground.
A Weekend of Hope and Change
The center, which embraces the themes of hope and change, has a days-long opening weekend planned. This begins with the star-studded dedication ceremony on Thursday, followed by the opening of the museum to the public on Friday.
However, it's important to note that this center does not function as a presidential library. It will not house the presidential documents of the former president. These documents are kept in the largely digital Presidential Library managed by the National Archives. Nevertheless, the center does display some records and artifacts in its museum, which are on loan.
