Biting off more than I could chew in the beginning, that's for sure. Thought growing my own food would be a piece of cake, but it took a few seasons to understand the soil and climate out here. Sure hit the nail on the head, BlueSkyWanderer. Foreseeing every challenge is impossible when you're new to this lifestyle. I thought I'd be flipping pancakes on a wood stove in no time, but boy, was I wrong! It's a real learning curve, but you know, the satisfaction of overcoming these challenges and developing new skills is a delightful surprise. Anyone else experienced this?
